GGateProof

A clear record of every vehicle that enters your site.

GateProof keeps a vehicle number plate log for your construction site. Plates are entered when a driver or delivery is registered, either typed in or suggested from a photo of the vehicle for a member of staff to confirm. Each plate is linked to that person's photo and QR card, and searchable alongside their check-ins. It is not automatic plate recognition at the gate.

  1. 1

    Register

A driver or delivery is registered with a photo and a number plate. Type the plate, or photograph it and confirm the suggestion.

  2. 2

    Scan

The person scans their QR card at the gate.

  3. 3

    Record

The check-in and check-out are recorded against that person and their plate.

  4. 4

    Search

Search by number plate on the dashboard or across all dates (all-dates search is on the Site plan and above).

When you need to know which vehicle, when

  • Which vehicles are on site right now?
  • Who brought a particular vehicle, and when did it arrive and leave?
  • How often has a given supplier attended?
  • Which vehicle belongs to the person at the gate?

Confirmed by a person at registration, not read automatically at the gate

GateProof does not use fixed cameras and does not read plates as vehicles arrive. A plate is entered at registration. To save typing, staff can take a photo of the vehicle and GateProof suggests the plate. The photo is read on the device it was taken on and is not uploaded or stored; only the plate you confirm is saved. Automatic reading can be wrong, so the suggestion is always shown for checking before it is saved, and the log is only as accurate as the plate confirmed. Visitors may be registered with or without a plate, depending on how they arrive.

Questions about the vehicle log

Is this ANPR?+

No. ANPR systems use fixed cameras to read plates automatically as vehicles arrive. GateProof does not. A plate is entered at registration, typed in or suggested from a photo for a person to confirm, and is then searchable.

Can I register a plate from a photo?+

Yes. Photograph the vehicle and GateProof suggests the plate for you to check. It works best with the plate filling most of the picture, in good light and straight on. If it cannot read the plate, type it in. The photo is not uploaded or stored.

Can I search for a plate from last month?+

Yes, on the Site plan and above, which includes number-plate search across dates.

Can I export vehicle records?+

Daily reports export to CSV, and the export includes the vehicle registration.
